How We Live
We want our faith to become a way of life. Spiritual formation isn't another program. We practice simple, sustainable rhythms that help us live with God in the ordinary moments of life.
A Rule of Life, Not a Program: Prayer, Scripture, Sabbath, worship, community, generosity, witness, and service shape who we're becoming.
Community Before Platform: We develop people before programs. Discipleship happens when we are known, loved, and formed together.
Gathered, Not Merely Attended: Sunday matters, but it isn't the destination.
Participation Before Consumption: Everyone has something to contribute. We find meaningful ways to participate in God's Kingdom.

We believe God’s Kingdom becomes visible through ordinary people living ordinary lives under the rule and reign of Jesus. We want to become a people who abide in Jesus, live in genuine community, make disciples, raise up the next generation, and bring the life of God’s Kingdom into our families, workplaces, town, and region.
We want to see:
Families flourish.
People discover who they are in Christ.
Disciples make disciples and leaders develop leaders.
Young adults and families find a place to belong and become.
Ultimately, we want to become a people through whom the Kingdom of God becomes visible wherever we go.

Your Pastoral Team
Jason Hotchkiss is the pastor of Edwards Chapel, where he and his wife, Bethany, are passionate about helping people discover that following Jesus is a way of life, not simply something we do on Sunday.
Called to ministry at a young age and shaped by his own journey of spiritual transformation, Jason was ordained in 2003 and has spent more than two decades exploring what it means to become an apprentice of Jesus in the ordinary rhythms of life.
His ministry is deeply rooted in Scripture, contemplative spirituality, and the conviction that spiritual formation happens as we learn to pay attention to God. Jason creates intentional, confidential space where people can slow down, notice God's presence, discern what the Spirit may be doing in their lives, and practice responding to God in everyday life.
Jason reads daily, treats time in nature less as a hobby than as a spiritual discipline, and maintains a monthly rhythm of solitude and reflection. But some of his favorite moments are much simpler: coffee with Bethany, an unhurried morning, or time together with their family.
Jason and Bethany live in Erie with their children. As a family, they enjoy finding simple ways to be together, whether that means a day at the beach, exploring a nature park, watching a movie, gathering around a campfire, or making an impromptu stop for ice cream.
For Jason and Bethany, ministry is ultimately about making room: room for God, room for people, and room for the kind of relationships where faith becomes something we practice together in the everyday places of life.
