The Edwards Chapel Blog
Hello friends, and family,
I know how hard it is to keep going after a failure. Failing in something that you put everything in will take the wind out of your sails, it will sap the energy out of you and it will kill any motivation that you have. Failing in something that people said that you would fail in kills you inside. The tears would stop, the heartache won't quit and the, "I told you so," flows like a river to your ears and eye sight. In this moment you are at your lowest. What do you do, what should you do? Take it to God in prayer, you may even need to fast and pray about it. You may need to fast, pray, and read the bible asking for guidance, through your tears and pain. At this point you are reviewing your whole plan from the failure to the beginning and from the beginning to the failure. Trying to see where you went wrong and if there were warning signs and why you did not notice the warning signs. Be encouraged, we all go through failures and some are worst than others but that does not mean that you cannot recover from it. Trust God and keep going. Keep moving forward in the will of God.
Today we celebrated our 106th Church Anniversary. It was a joyous occasions and many awesome people and churches came out to celebrate with us. It was a long and hard road. I know this even though I personally was not around for the 106 years. I could list the reasons why and scale it to today and even by today's standards it is still a long and hard road. I thank God for allowing us to be here for this celebration. It is an achievement.
I am going to close with, allow God to be into your every day life. Yes, you are going to mess up but don't allow that mess up define you. You can keep going, keep praying and keep serving God. Because of God a poor man can say that he is rich and a poor woman can say that they are rich. We all are broken and we all lose our way from time to time. But with God we are found and with God we are whole. So, don't forget God. Spend time with God and build your relationship with Him. How you may ask, well, that is easy. Pray, talk to God, read your bible, learn God's word, and repeat. Consistency is what you are going after. Making God a consistent part of your life. Bible segment for this entry is: Pslam 121. May God bless and keep you always.
